BarrieFolk is happy to announce the re-scheduled show with Lynn Miles, Suzie Vinnick and Valdy for Saturday, June 4 at the Four Points Theatre (1 Dunlop St., W.) in Barrie.

Lynn MilesLynn Miles is one of Canada’s most accomplished singer/songwriters. Lynn’s 15th album “We’ll Look For Stars’ was released on July 3 2020 and climbed to the #1 position on the Euro Americana Chart for the month of August 2020 and earned numerous 5 star reviews in Europe and North America.

With fifteen solo albums to her credit, Lynn was the winner of the 2002 Juno award for Roots and Traditional Solo Album of the Year and has won multiple Canadian Folk Music awards including ‘Solo Artist of The Year’ for her CD ‘Downpour’ and 2011 ‘English Songwriter of the Year’. She’s been nominated for Artist of the Year for the 2021 Canadian Folk Music Awards.

She has also produced several CD’s for fellow artists, including Katherine Wheatley, Lynne Hanson and the Yukon Woman’s Music Project.

Lynn’s song ‘Black Flowers’ is on the 2017 Grammy Nominated ‘North By South’ album by Claire Lynch. Her song ‘Three Chords and the Truth’ is include in the BBC TV show ‘Case Histories’.

A Saskatoon native transplanted to the Niagara Region of Ontario, Suzie Vinnick is the proud owner of a gorgeous voice, prodigious guitar and bass chops, and an engagingly candid performance style.

Among her most recent successes: being awarded the 2019 Saskatchewan Jazz Festival Special Recognition Award and being nominated for a 2018 Canadian Folk Music Award for Producer of the Year with her co-producer, Mark Lalama. Suzie has won 10 Maple Blues Awards, won the 2011 Canadian Folk Music Award for Contemporary Vocalist of the Year and is a three-time Juno nominee.

Suzie’s latest album is a full-band roots and blues extravaganza entitled Shake The Love Around.
