A big man (almost 6’6”), with a big voice (baritone), Garnet Rogers has an even bigger talent for putting lyrics on the page and music into the world. As kids, he and his big brother would harmonize to the Grand Ol’ Opry radio show. Garnet mastered the ukulele by the age of eight, and then went on to teach himself the flute, violin and guitar. Ten years later, he and brother Stan hit the road full-time, gaining a loyal following across North America and are acknowledged as one of the most influential acts in folk music. Today, as a folk and roots music headliner, Garnet has achieved ringing endorsements wherever he appears for both his performances and his songwriting. His 2007 CD “Can I Get a Witness” is indicative of his incredible emotional range and his willingness to bare his soul to the world with painterly lyrics.
